Dog Days of Summer

This is a statue shaped like a yellow Lab to encourage people to donate to the Japan Seeing-eye-dog Association, but Rin LOVES it. Every time we go to the Daiei he points to it and wants to run up and pet it.

Ojii-chan and Obaa-chan took care of Rosie while I was away, and yesterday we went to pick her up. She was rather chubby when she came back but looked like she had had a good time! Thanks!

One Sleepy Little Watermelon

When we went to Hachi's house yesterday she was kind enough to give us some of Yuuto's old sandals with little watermelons on them and his old Anpanman backpack, Thanks Hachi! Rin tuckered himself out playing around with Yuuto and fell right asleep on the way home.

And Behind Curtain Number Two...

Yesterday we got a call from my old co-worker Hachi inviting us to come over and play. We went and had a great time. Rin and Yuuto were laughing themselves into a fit playing peek-a-boo with the curtains. It was so cute and charming.

Steppin' Out with Daddy

BTW We made it home safe and sound and Rin was a real champ. He didn't cry at all except for the last few minutes before we landed in Osaka and he slept for about 80% of the flight. He is still a little jetlagged though and keeps waking up at weird times (2:30AM yesterday for example...Eek!). I'm sure he'll be back on schedule soon.

Gone to the Dogs

Rin and I went to Saty today with Gerilyn to finish buying the last of the presents for our trip back home. We found everything, and when we were done, we went to the arcade. Rin loved this one car game where you can play with different kinds of dogs. Here he is petting the dogs.

Here is Rin at Furatto. He's trying to pick up the box of blocks, but it's a bit too heavy. I'm always amazed at the things he IS able to pick up, though. He's awfully strong for his size.
