A Little Sip 'a Sumthin'

We went to Akachan Honpo this weekend and got this bottle straw for Rin. It lets you turn any pet bottle into a baby bottle with a long straw. It's really convenient and Rin loves it.

Baby Tote

Sho-chan's mom got me this great baby tote with tons of pockets for lugging around Rin's diapers, toys, snacks etc. Check out how roomy it is!

Congratulations Yuuko and Kouta!

We happened to run into my former student Yuuko at the mall the other day with the biggest belly this side of a sumo, and she gave birth this Thursday the 25th to baby Kouta (康汰). He weighed a whopping 3525g (Rin was 3175g) and has a beautiful head of black hair. Congratulations to both of them and to her husband (who I've unfortunately yet to meet). The woman holding Kouta is my old ob/gyn Dr. Fujioka who was Yuuko's doctor too!

Hittin' the Road

Here's Rin on his new Winnie-the-Pooh tricycle. This was a gift from Chihiro, Rika, Akiko, and Hiroko when he was born, but he's finally gotten big enough to ride it. We put it together this Sunday (well Sho-chan put it together and I wrangled Rin) and then we took him to the park. He really loves riding on it, but he gets excited watching the wheels and leans over scarily far.

Thomas

Here is Rin wearing his new Thomas bib. He wouldn't sit down to eat though and the bib got twisted all the way around to the back and it became a cape instead.

He'll Be Walking Soon

Rin can already walk a little if I hold on to his hands. He should be able to do it on his own pretty soon.
